TRADE DECISIONS

Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer with Roster Context

A fair-looking exchange on a trade chart can leave your lineup worse off. Evaluate what each roster gains, what each roster loses, and whether the players you receive will actually start.

Look beyond the total value

  1. Start with actual ownership. Verify which manager has each player and which players can be traded.
  2. Compare starting lineups. Look at the slot you improve and the slot you weaken. Receiving two bench players for a strong starter does not automatically improve your team.
  3. Separate the time horizons. Weekly projections describe a short-term estimate. Rest-of-season rankings describe a different question. Compare rankings within the same source, scoring format, and ranking scope.
  4. Review both sides. A plausible offer addresses the other team's depth and positional needs too. A value edge for you alone is not a reason another manager will accept.
  5. Check timing. Trade deadlines, review periods, and player locks can affect when a deal helps. Confirm those rules with your commissioner or league platform.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Two players do not always replace one starter

Imagine sending a starting running back for a receiver and a second running back. First compare the incoming running back with the player leaving your lineup. Then compare the receiver with the player they would replace. Account for the open roster spot or additional drop as well.

A rest-of-season ranking may support the long-term case while this week's projections suggest a temporary setback. State both instead of combining them into an unexplained “trade score.”

Use Fantasy Monster to review the fit

After connecting your league, choose Trade in the advice workspace and ask about the players or positions you are considering. Supported comparisons use the roster and source evidence available for your selected league. You can inspect the reasoning and see when current evidence is insufficient.

Fantasy Monster does not send offers, negotiate for you, or guarantee a result. You review and submit the offer yourself. The product is not a dynasty-pick valuation service; do not assume that a redraft or rest-of-season comparison prices future picks.

Before you offer

Read the other manager's lineup, check recent news, and confirm the processing deadline. On Sleeper, for example, weekend trades can interact with player locks. Your platform's current rules determine when players can move.

Next: review the data sources and analysis limits or look for a waiver solution.
